Good spelling adds depth and weight to your written work. On the other hand, poor spelling undermines and could subtly chip away at your reader’s confidence—making them feel like you simply couldn’t be bothered to spell correctly in the first place!

Here are some examples:

I once saw an advertisement for a car that said it was “toad legal.”

A review that was emphatic in its condemnation of the seller, and yet in truth sounded rather toothless, exclaimed: “you dirty thrives.”

Another review for a cleaning product highlighted how the manufacturer was incompetent and couldn’t get anything right and then finished with a high and mighty: “I am totally distisfied with this product.”
