I pride myself on my forensic proofreading methods and always work in harmony with your brief, style guide and narrative preference.

What type of errors do I look for in your text?

  • Typos
  • Poor spelling
  • Bad punctuation
  • Incomplete formatting
  • Misuse of capitalisation

How does the initial process work?

  1. You send me a sample of the text you would like to be proofread. Preferably, a sample from the middle of your document.
  2. After reviewing your document, I will contact you to discuss vital details relating to your brief.
  3. My proposal will be sent to you, detailing the work process, fees and timescales for job completion.

After you’ve agreed to my proposal, what happens next?

I proofread your text, looking for the above mentioned errors, and then I make suggestions of improvements to your written work. You can accept or decline these suggestions, but I’ll only make recommendations that are substantiated by a dictionary, grammar book or other key reference work. Please note: I also check all source quotations and references.

Work can be proofread and tracked in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat or Google Docs. I can also work with most in-house systems or CMS.
